The Light of the LORD

After reading Isaiah 2:3-5 quoted below, my thoughts immediately go to:

John 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Know that Jesus the Christ is the “Only Light” and there is no other.  Isaiah tells us to walk in His light, “the light of the LORD.”  “I wonder, how bright does He shine from me?”
Isaiah tells us, “let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God. Are we really willing to climb that mountain to the house of God?  How do we get there?  We have to know God through His Son Jesus the Christ.  If we have accepted Him in time past, we may need to search our hearts.
Our theme at Fundamental Baptist Church this year is, “Where You Headin In Twenty-Eleven?”  This theme is based on Romans 12:2, the portion that deals with our being “transformed by the renewing of your mind.  (This is about climbing that mountain.)  Paul addresses who he is speaking to by saying, “I beseech you therefore, brethren.  It is clear Paul is talking to Christians, people who in the past have accepted Jesus and at one time were following His commandments.  (Somehow, they may have drifted away from Christ.)  For the most part, they may have turned away from Him.
We are having our Spring Revival which is entitled “Transform & Renewal” in Mid-March.  We as brethren need to understand we may have slipped down the mountain of God’s house, and are standing in the valley without looking up to Him.
Now is the time to re-Transform Yourself, by Renewing Your mind and climb back up that mountain.  Know in your heart that God, the Holy Spirit, nor Jesus will command you to climb back on that mountaintop.  That is your job.  You must do the climbing with a willing heart, a heart that desires to be in His House of Worship.

Isaiah 2:3-5  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  (4)  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  (5)  O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
